Wilko at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole raised a total of £96 for Teenage Cancer Trust, Alzheimer’s Society and Save The Children by hosting a charity bake sale in store.
The fundraising total was achieved via a bake sale, and book and DVD sale. All proceeds from Wilko’s fundraising day will be shared between the three charities, as part of Wilko’s Together for Families charity programme.
Lewis Stephens, Assistant Branch Manager at Wilko Poole in the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “Our charity bake sale was a huge success and we would like to thank everybody that bought and ate the cakes to help fundraise for these three charities.”
Wilko’s Together for Families charity programme aims to raise £5m for Teenage Cancer Trust, Alzheimer’s Society and Save The Children over the course of three years.
A spokesperson for Wilko commented: “Helping good causes and supporting great work in our community is at the heart of what we do; helping to cement our place within the local communities we serve and enabling hard-working families to be the best they can be.
“We’re delighted that our team has raised this money and would like to thank the loyal shoppers at the Dolphin for their support.”
